EE gives free extra data to University students

EE is currently offering 500MB of extra data every single month for new, upgrading and existing pay monthly customers that are UK university students. To qualify, students have to be on a 24 month pay monthly contract or a SIM-only contract for 12 months. Eligible students can then register with the student affinity network UNiDAYS which provides discounts for students on shopping, train tickets and restaurants.

The additional 500MB activates once a student uses up all their inclusive allowance as EE’s way of providing a ‘data safety net’ for students. Students can also combine the offer with EE’s existing student discount, allowing customers who join or upgrade via ee.co.uk to receive 20% off pay monthly handset or 12-month SIM only mobile plans.

To apply for the 500MB boost students have to carry out the following steps:

• Register with UNiDAYS & receive the relevant code
• Texting ‘STUDENT’ to 150 and enter the unique UNiDAYS code when prompted and follow the sign-up instructions
• Customers will receive a confirmation when the 500MB data safety net has been activated
