Huawei Mate 9 Rumours
The Huawei Mate 8 was launched at the end of last year, and now it seems the Chinese company are preparing to launch the the ‘Mate 9’, also code-named the “Manhattan”. While further rumours suggest that the Mate 9 will be released alongside the ‘Mate 9 Pro’, also code-named the “Long Island”, this November 3rd 2016 at the ET in Munich, Germany.
Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro Rumoured Design
The Mate 9 is expected to feature a 5.9″ 1080p full-HD display, while the Mate 9 Pro is rumoured to sport a 5.9″ inch display with a 1,440 x 2,560 QHD resolution. The Mate 9 will supposedly be a flat-screen version while the Mate 9 Pro will offer a dual curved-edge screen to complete with Samsung’s Galaxy S7. The Mate 9 body is expected to be metal, similar to the previous Mate 8 and Huawei P9, with a choice of 8 or 9 different colours which may include Amber Gold, Amber Grey, Ceramic White, Champagne Gold, Mocha Gold, Silver, Pink Gold, Shiny Black and Sky Grey.
Mate 9 Rumoured Features
Rumour has it, the Mate 9 will feature a Leica-branded dual lens camera, like the Huawei P9, but with a megapixel upgrade, with talk of a 20MP and 12MP sensor pairing, up from 12MP for both on the P9. While the front camera is rumoured to be 8MP.
When it comes to the insides, the Mate 9 is expected to sport a 2.6GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor, run on Android v.70 Nougat and offer storage variations including 64GB or 128GB with 4GB RAM or 256GB with 6GB RAM.
