The New Motorola Smartphone – The Moto X+1
Design: Leaks have suggested the Moto X+1 will have a 5.2” screen, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. A rather large step up from the 4.2” display of the original Moto X. When it comes to the body, many concept artists and leaks have suggested that the Moto X+1 will have a wooden back.
Camera: The Moto X+1 is expected to have a 12 megapixel rear camera with auto focus, face detection, flash, HDR photo, touch focus and a 4160 x 3120 resolution. As well as a 2 megapixel front camera.
Further specs: The Moto X+1 is suggested to run on the Android 4.4.3 KitKat operating system, and be powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, offering powerful 2.2GHz speeds for high-level efficiency. Once again, a significant step up from the 1.7GHz processor of the original Moto X. When it comes to memory, it’s speculated that the Moto X+1 will have 1.7GB of memory and 24GB of internal storage. The Moto X+1 is also expected to feature an accelerometer, GPS, compass, gyroscope, light sensor, NFC, a built-in pedometer, and proximity.

Release date: It’s expected that Motorola will announce the new model at a press event in London on the 13th of May.
Price: A previous (accidental) leak from Motorola gave away the price tag. The branding material stated that the Moto X+1 would be $400 (£237.29). However, this is of course subject to change. Either way, we know for sure the Moto X+1 will be affordable. The invites to the event read “Made to last. Priced for all”, so although price is yet to be 100% confirmed. You can be sure that the Moto X+1 will be affordable.
