The network giant, Vodafone, has launched 5G in 55 towns and cities across four countries – Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK – just in time for your trip away this summer. Better yet, Vodafone pay-monthly consumer and business customers can take advantage of 5G at no additional cost. This means faster and more reliable speeds, up to ten times faster than 4G – whether you’re heading to Madrid, London or Rome.
“We have accelerated the availability of 5G roaming just as schools break up for the summer holiday. With 5G in more places than with any other network, our customers can keep in touch with loved ones at home, colleagues in the office or with their business customers while they’re travelling abroad.”
– Nick Jeffery, Vodafone UK Chief Executive Officer.
5G means working abroad is easier than ever before, as you’ll receive Wi-Fi like speeds, without having to rely on your hotel’s connections or public Wi-Fi to keep in touch with the office. The catch? In order to access the benefits of 5G, you’ll need to upgrade to a smartphone with a 5G chip. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 are the only two 5G smartphones available through Vodafone.
For those ready to take the plunge, we recommend the help of Vodafone’s entertainment package – offering a choice of four options – Spotify Premium, Amazon Prime Video, Sky Sports Mobile TV or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass in order to make the most of your data plan.
