Nokia 8 review

Design

The Nokia 8 sports an aluminium body, available in blue matte and silver, which wraps around the sides of the phone from the rear. When it comes to the display, the Nokia 8 features a large Quad HD display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 – as seen on a limited number of handsets including the HTC 10, Samsung S8 and Huawei P10 Plus. The Gorilla Glass 5 offers the highest level of durability yet.

Features

The Nokia 8’s rear camera is made up of two 13MP lenses to expand your photo options. You can use both lenses at the same time with live bokeh effect, blurring the background for a sharp professional look. Or, you can use them independently for detailed monotone shots.  Nokia has also created ‘Bothie’. Bothie is a dual-sight mode, which means you can use the 13MP front-facing lens at the same time as the rear 13MP camera. This lets you put yourself in the frame, at the same time as taking photos of your friends, family or colleagues. You can also broadcast live to Facebook with this mode – ideal if you want to capture your own real-time reactions.  To keep you powered up through your snaps, the Nokia 8 comes with the latest USB technology, USB Type-C. The symmetrical power port lets you inject charge quicker than ever before, meaning you’ll be able to go from flat to full in around an hour with the 3,090mAh cell.
