Features & specs
The Doro 8040 features a 5″ display as well as all the basic specs. Equipped with a 8MP rear camera and 2MP camera, flashlight, Google Play for apps, email and web browser. The biggest improvement however, from the previous Doro 8030, is the loud and clear sound – compatible with hearing aids – and easy to see icons through a multi-faceted interface. Free 12 month trial of Connect & Care
But better yet, you’ll receive a free trial of Doro Connect & Care for your entire first year. Connect & Care includes a help alarm which is activated via the phone’s assistance button and can alert your chosen network of people. The built-in GPS functionality works together with the assistance button to inform your family and friends of your location. While the activity log feature keeps track of when you last answered a call and lets others in the network know if there is a reason to be concerned.
For example, should you miss a certain number of calls, Connect and Care will automatically send out an alert so that people can easily check to make sure you are ok. You can also send requests to your network for help with everyday tasks such as changing a light bulb or fetching milk from the shop. The Connect & Care platform will create a to do list so that your network can co-ordinate who takes care of what and fairly share the load. You’ll also receive shared reminders to help you keep track of important events and appointments.
Those in the UK or Ireland will be able to purchase the Doro from November.
