“We’re delighted to be the first UK operator to offer Apple Music, with its incredible catalogue of songs, playlists, and Beats 1 radio.” – EE CEO Marc Allera
Apple launched the music streaming service worldwide on June 30th and already has more than 15 million paying subscribers on-board. In an attempt to differentiate itself from competitors such as Spotify and Google Play Music, Apple has added exclusive content and Siri integration to Apple Music.
When signed into Apple music as a non-member using your Apple ID, you’ll be able to view and follow artists on Connect – a blog platform that allows artists to share their posts, photos, videos, and tracks with subscribers, and love, comment and play Connect content, as well as listen to Beats 1 radio station – that broadcasts live to over 100 countries 24 hours a day. However as a member, you’ll be able to do all of that and; download music for offline listening, enjoy unlimited listening from the Apple Music library, add Apple Music content to your library, keep up to 100,000 songs in your iCloud music library and receive expert music suggestions.
Apple’s Music service is compatible with the iPhone 4S and newer, iPad and Apple Watch running the latest iOS, PC’s and Mac’s running the latest iOS, vehicles equipped with Apple CarPlay, Apple TV 4th Generation, Android devices OS 4.3 and up and Sonos. However it’s worth noting that voice control for Apple Music is not available on Android devices as it is run by Apple’s Siri.
