Rumour has it, the new fifth generation iPad will be released this October, the 22nd to be exact.
Although Apple like to keep things on the hush, recent predictions about Apple releases have been correct, so we were intrigued to see this years expert predictions.
Experts believe that many of the new features seen in the iPhone 5S will feature in the new iPad such as the Touch ID sensor.
This would mean we could unlock our iPad and make our purchases on iTunes with the touch of our finger…pretty sleek right?
Experts also predict the new iPad will run on the new A7 Chip – currently used only on the 5S. This is great news for the iPad users. The A7 Chip means you have access to what the techies call 64-bit architecture – and for everybody else that basically means app performance will be better than ever. That’s your beloved iPad games, online shopping apps and so on, running better than ever.
If the experts are right (we hope they are) the new iPad will also feature the new 8 Mega Pixel camera as featured in the 5S. The upgraded camera system features a larger f/2.2 aperture, a bigger image sensor, much better image stabilisation, new burst and slow-motion modes, and a “True Tone” dual-LED flash that intelligently figures out how much illumination a scene needs.
Finally the Apple iPad may be released in matching colours to the 5S – that’s right, possibly a Chrome and Gold iPad.
In terms of how it feels, leaked images and videos have suggested that the iPad will be full-sized but will be as light as the iPad Mini.
And speaking of the iPad Mini, we’ll see the 2nd iPad Mini released on the 22nd too. The new iPad Mini will feature similar upgrades to the new iPad but possibly with the addition of a new ‘retina’ screen.
Very exciting times for the Apple fans.
